Response to Pollan

I agree to Michael Pollan's argument about how we americans don't have a stable food culture like the french and the italian, how we are confused on what food we should be eating, which makes us depend on food fads, that experts tell us are healthy for us. Some americans are so focused on having a good stable food culture, that whenever something new and healthier comes up when change how we eat. We listen to those ads on things like "nutri-system", and recipes online that "good" for staying fit. Yet most doctors i know dont believe in diets, they just think that if you eat a lesser portion of what you usually eat, and eat fruits and vegetables as well, that you would be fine. But americans are so easily fooled because the people who created these diets/way of eating, are professionals, and we believe believe almost anything if a professional approves of it.

maxi, i agree with you. i think you make a good point in saying that americans are easily sucked into the next new fad, and how we don't really have a solid food foundation. good point (:
