Holiday insight

Christmas is a day where we celebrate the day Jesus was born by, spending time with family and friends, or going out and partying, and giving each other gifts. Its a day where we waste our money to buy people things, instead of giving them what we already have like it was originally made to be. This goes to show how dependent we've become with technology and other things that didn't exist before. We depend on products corporate media influenced us to want/like, to make other people happy and satisfied with their life.
Christmas shows us that to have a good and meaningful life, we need each other, and other things which we find are meaningful, which reminds me of quotes from Fight Club about how "we're consumers" and how the "things you used to own, now they own you" because each time something hip comes out, people become so interested in it and want to buy it, and then you just stay obsessed with it until a new item comes out and that becomes your new "master" making you waste your money for it, even though you don't need it to survive in this world, just to rank where you are in popularity. So all in all, christmas tells us to spend time with family and friends, drink and party, and become mindless zombie and go out and buy a lot of things while they're still on sale, since things make your life more meaningful.
